Monday, June 5, 2023 - Deep reddish purple in the glass and pretty to look at. The nose opens with breezy cedar and vanilla, followed swiftly in tow by morello cherries, plums, and a generous chocolate-swaddled herbal note of mint and thyme, pipe tobacco. A Juicy and spicy palate with more of those cherries and a long, intense plum note, plush tannins that are nonetheless young, fresh, and assertive, and a finish that lingers with more plum, chocolate, and chewing tobacco on the way back end. This is a baby, will wait 8-10 years before opening another.
