Saturday, December 16, 2023 - K&L Bordeaux Tasting: 14.5% ABV. Medium ruby appearance. Magnum pour. Black cherry, red plum, red bramble fruit, nutmeg, and a very distinct underlying layer of graphite/ minerality. Grainy but approachable tannins. Beautiful acidity gives a nice lift. Silky on the palate. Spicy, elegant, with great fruit purity. Tough for me to see a 100 point wine here right now, but this was very enjoyable. Need to lay this down for some time so more nuance comes out.
