Sunday, December 25, 2022 - Talk about a powerhouse! Needed 2 hours to decant to approachable levels.
Dark in the glass, opaque purple.
Big dark fruit, tobacco and bitter chocolate on the nose.
Blueberry and blackberry/cassis on the palate with the same tobacco and bitter chocolate from the nose, with a leathery finish.
It’s still a bit young, and one might say it’s in the “whip & chair” phase of it’s life (thanks, Elton! Haha). But with another sitting a few years down the road, this wine is a stellar bold Mt veeder cab with nowhere to go but up!
