Monday, June 13, 2016 - Very dark purple in the glass. Something of a green viny nose. Lots of black currant/blackberry on the tip of the tongue. Some herbality—basil, mint—that is, really, quite pleasant. Something of a dusty sensation which I would attribute to tannin. Not distracting, but noticeable. Something of slate or tarry sensation at the rear palate. A very delicious wine. It may have leveled off in its development, but I do not see any near term rush for anybody who has this in their cellar.
