This bottle wasn't stored very well, but it showed pretty well regardless. Cassis, black cherry, dried red cherry, green and brown tobacco, new leather, a little menthol, chocolate, and earth on the nose. Tart cherry, cassis, black cherry, earth, green herbs, and leather on the palate. Very good acidity, mostly resolved tannins, medium-long finish. Full-bodied, mature, and delicious, this wine could probably last more years. Personally, I would drink it now.

Very dark purple in the glass. Something of a green viny nose. Lots of black currant/blackberry on the tip of the tongue. Some herbality—basil, mint—that is, really, quite pleasant. Something of a dusty sensation which I would attribute to tannin. Not distracting, but noticeable. Something of slate or tarry sensation at the rear palate. A very delicious wine. It may have leveled off in its development, but I do not see any near term rush for anybody who has this in their cellar.

The wine looks Crimson colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Black currant (cassis), and Blackberry. It tastes like and Tobacco. The body is Medium/Full. The wine finishes Long.

Good dark fruit, tobacco, cassis, earth, dust, integrated tannins and a long finish Enjoyed following a bottle of 2003 Opus one and I think this was actually a more interesting wine.

From a 1.5. Decanted, after 1 hour: Very dark/inky & dense. Nose: CIGARBOX, dark fruit, red currants, green mint, cassis. On the palate big and rich, yet balanced. Intense dark cherrys w/classic rutherford dust.Great mouthfeel. Firm yet silky tannins and a long pleasing finish. This wine has several years before it will peak. Classic California cab thats hitting all the right notes for my palate with layers of complex flavors, and did I mention the dust?! 95+

received as a gift. Decanted for about 45 minutes, and had with a 2 inch thick porterhouse. Dark fruit on the nose, with a bit of casis and ash. On the palate the tannins are present but not overwhelming, there is a bit of earth mixed in with dark cherries and blueberries. A bit sweet, but the alcohol is in check. Overall a nice wine, can't really comment on the QPR, since it was a gift. I would definitely buy it if it was under 35 dollars.

Deep purple color, nose is closed but hints of earth. After an hour or so I still don't get much out of this wine. Not much fruit to speak of. I just get dust and alcohol. Nothing in balance. I thought Beckstoffer grapes were the bees knees. Pass on this.

Huge, floral nose, decadent fruit, classic Napa Cabernet. Loved it.

Deep dark wine. I opened and drank right away. It was very soft and only got better.
