Saturday, February 21, 2009 - Brought by friends to dinner. Deep red colour, lighter purplish at the edges. Nose is wallpaper paste, cream soda. and over-ripe red cherries . Palate is overpowering alcohol and disjointed: cold tar soap, tart black cherries and distinctly over-pronounced and unpleasant coca cola sprizzante on the back end. Might improve with time in the bottle but it has a huge distance to claw back from.
