Wednesday, July 6, 2022 - Three years after trying my first Murcia monastrell, from Jumilla, I'm trying the Yecla region for the first time and am impressed. Big nose of glazed cherries, Play-doh and just-out-of-the-oven brownies. Intense mouth of blackcurrant, plum skin and licorice. Touch of blueberries on a short finish.
