Friday, December 9, 2022 - A deep purplish-red with just a bit of clearing at the rim. Expressive and full bodied on the palate, revealing dark cherries, black olives, rosemary, garrigue, black pepper and pencil lead. Quite complex. The alcohol is definitely on the higher end, but I think they manage it fairly well here; the tannins, too, are plenty grippy but not overwhelming. It’s definitely on the younger side, but it’s already drinking well; this could easily cruise another 5-10 years.
