Friday, January 20, 2023 - 1st of 4 btls. Opened 4 hrs prior to diner. Color is a semi translucent red on opening that deepens to a still semi translucent ruby red with air in glass. Starts out w/ matchstick that blows off after an hour. Aromas an hour before dinner are light violets & spice. This wine is still a baby and notable today for its youthful balance, purity & elegance. Still pretty tight but the concentration, intensity & elegance are promising and intriguing now. This has all the pieces for potential greatness but will need at least 3yrs to best express the classic vintage. 13% alc. Today 92-93
