Tuesday, August 23, 2022 - Bought recently, from a different source than the last bottle. In great condition. Medium garnet colour. Red fruit, dill, coffee, light cedar, tobacco, intense spice, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and balsamic notes, with medium-level acidity, fully resolved tannin, and great persistence. Smoothly textured and well balanced. Has everything one would be looking for in mature, traditional-style Rioja. Equally enjoyable on day two. Drink now.

9/4/2022 12:56:00 AM - I really liked the 85. I have three more bottles from three different sources and look forward to drinking them over the next five years or so.
Both, the 85 and the 89, state 13% ABV on the label, according to my notes.
I only had the 89 once, fairly recently, and noted pronounced acidity and light bitterness, which would indicate that the wine should be paired with food.

above! U can buy for between 33 and 36 Euros here!

9/9/2022 11:00:00 PM - That sounds promising! Thank you for the recommendation! I already have a few bottles of each of the 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008 in the cellar and considered sitting the next few vintages out, but based on your recommendation I will probably add a case of the 2010 and stop there. When would you drink the 2010s?
