Thursday, September 14, 2023 - Clear, medium ruby – black plum, black cherry, earth, spice, clove, caramel, grass, strawberry, licorice. Dry, medium acid, medium tannins, 14.5% ABV, medium body, medium+ intensity, medium+ finish. Gorgeous and complex. I've had Merry Edwards sauvignon blancs but never her pinot noirs before. This is the second vintage of which winemaker Heidi von der Mehden was in full charge (she worked alongside Merry Edwards since 2015). Nice to know the wine is in great hands.
