Sunday, September 12, 2021 - Surprisingly (though, perhaps not based on the color) underdeveloped for its age, which always brings about questions. Initially there are some hints of leather, tree moss with tons of baking spice, mocha characteristics that with time, meld into fudge, "soupy" port-like aromas and flavors. Long, spicy finish that becomes more warm/alcoholic with air time. I would not be shocked if this is not 100 percent Pinot Noir, nor from 1947.
