Tuesday, December 20, 2022 - Chilled to ~60 degrees F and decanted for 2 hours before tasting from a Riedel Oregon Pinot Noir glass. Aroma of pencil shavings and graphite at the rim of the glass interlaced with bright red fruit and a secondary meaty texture. Fresh red cherry, red currant, and strawberry fruit flavors with secondary elements of cranberry and rhubarb. Although the aroma profile suggests something slightly feral, the flavors are nothing of the sort. The latter took me some time to pinpoint, but it's there and I really like it. This wine is less acidic than I expected at this age, much more of a velvet feel to it. Lovely!
