89 Points

Tuesday, July 1, 2008 - Darker end of Pinots, medium garnet. Concentrated dark berry raspberry, crisp bright sweet fruit with good acidity and a spiciness (oak). Prominent tannins. Over a course of 2 hours the wine has opened considerably. This wine could easily go another 3-5 years. You would never pick this out of a lineup as a Livermore Valley winery. The one flaw or negative, if you want to call it that, is a bit of noticeable oak that distracts a bit from the beautiful fruit, although it should integrate over time. All in all, an outstanding effort.
