Friday, March 14, 2008 - Medium straw, slightly dull appearance. Nose shows appley fruit, well integrated creamy oak, hint of butterscotch - not particularly complex. High acidity on the palate, less noticeable as it warms, intense fruit with a lingering limey acidic finish. Certainly has power and concentration but not much in the way of elegance, class or complexity. (Unnecessarily) impressive packaging but was expecting more of the contents.
