Saturday, November 18, 2023 - Had this while comparing it to a 2019 Bordeaux (Beychevelle). The color on this was dark Red with some electric ruby on the edges. Nose was a little bit closed off, maybe hidden a bit behind its higher alcohol %. It opened up more after a couple hours. Plum, spice and herbs on the nose. Palate had ripe red fruits, decently high acidity and chalky tannins. Decent amount of oak influence with vanilla and a bit of chocolate on the finish. This has the makings of an incredible wine, but it needs time. 5-15 years in the cellar will make this one beast of a wine. Looking forward to trying it again
