Sunday, May 24, 2009 - A really good showing, although still not at the level of Houillon's Poulsard. Astringent at first, and only after about 3.5 hours in a decanter did the harshness of the tannins soften a bit. The fruit is somewhere in there, but the wine is about soil and animals and dust. The fruit comes out more after almost 4 hours open. This is probably opened too young, but c'mon - how long are youi really going to make me wait for your poulsard?
