Monday, August 21, 2023 - Best Occhipinti wine that I have had to date. This bottle was in great condition and showed really well. Popped and poured, enjoying over ~2 hours with friends. The nose was Smokey, flinty. The fruit notes were dominated by lemon and peach, a strong vein of minerality. I think the palate is where the wine definitely shines. It’s concentrated, with great acidity and a round texture, finishing with some tannin and a palate staining finish.
