Tuesday, August 8, 2023 - After about 2 hours, this opens up beautifully with a sour tartness to the tones of red cherries, raspberries, cranberries, spice notes, crushed violets, savory herbs, sweet tobacco, and some crushed rocks. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and deft with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is really lovely after a bit of air, if in a primary way. I can see this benefitting from another 5-8 years of aging to really let the aromatics bloom.
