Monday, May 17, 2010 - I like this better than most of the other notes. Great black cherry fruit and a hint of anise/licorice. Light garnet color and silky mouth feel. Transitions to a little spice and a nice oak tannin/citric acidity balance. A little bit of an alcohol heat midway through kept this from being up in the stellar category.

8/2/10 Similar notes as last time, but got some strawberry fruitiness I didn't taste the first time, and wrote about some earthiness in the finish.

6/13/11 I still love this wine. Sadly, this was my last bottle.
