2002 Claude Dugat Gevrey-Chambertin

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Friday, April 19, 2019 - Dark red color with limited transparency. Aromas of beet, rhubarb, cherry, and some sous bois. Palate is really dark and initially unyielding showing some beet, dark cherry, and iron notes. Finish is medium-short. After 2 days in the cellar, this finally yields some more red fruit notes and starts to show that there is some substance behind the initial experience. Suggest decanting a few hours ahead of time or leaving it for a few more years if you want. Drink or hold.
