This has come a long way since my last bottle in 2008. Time has brought spice, complexity and some nuance to what was a broading youngster. The color has lightened and now has brick hues. The nose reminds me of black cherries and opening the spice cabinet. Medium body with impressive texture with a B+ finish. Excellent village burgundy in the more extracted style. A real winner in this genre. (92)

Loved it the next day after closing the bottle right after pour. I can imagine a 4 hours decant would equal closing bottle for 24 hours. The taste though it is so delicious. Sweet and sour berries but so balanced!

Not bad, but on the sweet side (which is interesting for Claude Dugat). Evidently village weight, a bit watery, dark berries, burnt woody characteristics. 90?

The wine is dark ruby, with hints of very slight brown in the rim. I let the bottle to open in the bottle 45 mins before the dinner after a small pour. The fruit jumped out from the start while the tannin was a bit tight.
Lots of still fresh fruits of blackberry and blueberry in the nose, with hints of reduction that stayed; on the palate the wine is structured with well rounded acidity and tannin, fresh fruit is on the front, consistent with nose. Slowly in the course of 2 hours of dinner, the developed notes of tea and spice started to come out for both nose and palate. The finish is decent.
For a village wine, I am surprised by its longevity at this age. To me it is just in its prime, a very enjoyable wine. Given the tannin and freshness of the fruit, it still has a few years to stay in the current state.

Dark red color with limited transparency. Aromas of beet, rhubarb, cherry, and some sous bois. Palate is really dark and initially unyielding showing some beet, dark cherry, and iron notes. Finish is medium-short. After 2 days in the cellar, this finally yields some more red fruit notes and starts to show that there is some substance behind the initial experience. Suggest decanting a few hours ahead of time or leaving it for a few more years if you want. Drink or hold.
