Thursday, June 2, 2016 - Nanda does Grand Sichuan (St. Marks Place Grand Sich, NY): After two bottles from the same lot that were rather advanced and tired, this was a very pleasant surprise. A much fresher showing more in line with what I expect from Prüm with lots of ripe orchard fruit and floral notes accented with mature smoky, burnished, and petrol notes. There's a fair bit of sweetness here on the palate, but it's nicely balanced by the acids beneath. Very nice.
