Sunday, January 14, 2024 - Short decant. Medium garnet with some bricking. The nose is just classic tuscany - tuscan earth, tobacco, and sweet balsamic dominate with sour cherry underneath. The palate was initially closed down behind a wall of tannin but quickly came to life. Similar aromatics but classic dusty tuscan eath with medium + tannin, still pretty rough in texture at this point. This is classic tuscany right here, and this is a RdM that needs a bit more time but is still great value. If you want authentic montalcino this is the producer to look for. Drink 2025-2032.
