Tuesday, November 30, 2010 - If you somehow still hold a lingering impression of chianti as being a cheap, basket-sheathed pizza wine, this wine will forever banish those thoughts from your mind. It held an incredibly aromatic nose of flowers and earth that left me swirling and sniffing all night long. In the mouth, it combined a silky texture with classic sangiovese bright cherry flavors and the lively acid made it a perfect complement to my wife's awesome spaghetti bolognese. Simply put, it's greatest expression of sangiovese I've ever tasted...at least until I try the Pergole Torte. :)
