Friday, March 8, 2024 - Friday late night at home with neighbourhood friends. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of briney wet stone and saline minerality, sea-shell, light honey, burnt sugar and buttered popcorn. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon, salty briney wet stone minerality, burnt sugar and buttered popcorn. Long finish.
Very good quality. Quite unique odd character. Chardonnay but hard to place. Quite clean for a Ganevat. Interesting to see where it goes in a few year's time.
