Friday, February 10, 2023 - Napa 2023: the quieter version; 2/6/2023-2/11/2023 (Napa/Sonoma California): My first impression is this is a slightly quieter wine and needs a bit of time. It starts with mostly just a touch of the darker fruits and these incredibly fine, almost not there tannins. With more time it started to a bit more accessible, a bit more open. More sweet dark cherry notes. The vineyard for this wine wasn’t entirely Lokoya until around 2013 (before that they bought fruit when it was available, but it wasn’t always available). With time this was quite nice though.
