Tuesday, April 16, 2024 - Opened and paired with grilled chicken breast and mixed pasta salad. Pale straw color with a golden hue. Nose brings apricot blossoms, white peaches, tropical fruit basket, honeysuckle, and gun powder. The palate is medium, round, and razor sharp, bringing a steely core of green, yellow, and orange fruit (kiwi, green apple, pineapple, banana, tangerines, mango) followed by a distinctive mix of butterscotch, petrol, crushed stone, seashell, and orange sorbet into a long finish. This has a nice oily viscosity set against a bone-dry finish with an even sweet/dry feel, which puts everything into balance. Drinking well right now and will be best through 2028. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.
