Thursday, December 25, 2008 - This wine was opened for Christmas Eve dinner (NY Strip w/ Cheesy potatoes and a wedgy salad) 30 minutes prior to eating, no decanting. It is perfect in its window right now, expressive nose of currents, blackberry, vanilla, loam, and was very meaty. The palate was smooth and fully integrated, a perfect match for a great steak.
