Sunday, February 6, 2011 - At its prime now - good time to drink. Very nice nose. Plenty of ripe red berries accompanied by a hint of chili peppers. On the palate wonderfully smooth with a nice, earthy finish. A hint of tannins, but I don't think there's much more ageing potential. However, it's definitely not too late, either. Decanted for two hours and then had it with a hearty German beef dish. Near perfect.
