Very dark core, garnet edge.
Aromas are ripe and rich showing currant, pine, wet earth.
Elegant and balanced with ripe cassis flavors joined by red cherry, tart plum, vanillin, pipe tobacco, a touch of lead. Oak is not subtle, especially through the finish, but integrates into the wine nicely. Would score higher if more complex.
Medium-full body. Tasty stuff. Decanted 2 hrs. Drink or hold
