Thursday, July 20, 2023 - Poured half a bottle through an aerator into a decanter. Sniffed and sipped 30 minutes later: Clearly Merlot from Sonoma. Plum with some cherries. Still good acidity to pair well with food. Resolved tannin. At peak. Could perhaps improve a bit, but no reason to think it will. Drink over the next two years.

Rodney Strong consistently produces varietally correct wines at a reasonable price, regardless of the grape, across vintages. Well done. 89 points.
