Saturday, November 18, 2006 - Decanted 2 hours ahead. Deep ruby color, perfectly clear, hint of bricking on the edge. Aromas of cherries, tobacco, saddle leather, hanging meat and ends with a whiff of spice. Medium body, modest acid with silky tannins. Very smooth flavors of cherries, plums and just a little bitterness on the finish. Lasts on the palate with a 10 sec finish. This is not a blockbuster, but a very refined Bordeaux. More complexity on the nose than the palate, but drinking very well now and will likely last but not sure it will get much better. I'll plan to drink these up over the next 5-7 years.
