Friday, April 7, 2023 - Tasted for #tawnytuesday. My first Niepoort Port and what a memorable experience. It first starts with the color. It's almost like a rainbow, the way the color fades from ruby red to garnet to tawny to light orange on the rim. On the nose, delicious notes of caramel, butterscotch, stone fruit and tea. On the palate, loads of that delicious citrus and stone fruit tea. Peach, apricot, black tea and candied orange. The acidity is lively. And the finish is endless. This is stunning. Possibly the best 10-Year I've had.
