Sunday, October 4, 2015 - This bottle of 2002 Veuve Clicquot is the best it has ever been and finally shows how superbly special the 2002 vintage is in Champagne. This wine is the one that I bought the most from the 2002 vintage, that was the best vintage since 1996. The acidity is bright and less astringent. The bubbles release a host of pleasing aromas of yeast, bread, lemon, and apricot. The sip now has a rounded and soothing texture with rich flavors that coat the mouth and endure through a very long finish. For the next decade, I can enjoy this stashed away wine any time as a special treat.
