Friday, April 29, 2022 - En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Initially there is something wrong here – an almost repellent note – not sure how to describe it…it’s quite ‘off’. A vigorous shake seems to dispel this, and it shows black and blueberries, sweet spice and, with time, a little fruit lozenge quality. On the palate it has medium plus intensity acidity, drying woody tannins are chalky tannins, similar fruit profile to the nose. Long. Simple. Okay.
