Thursday, February 16, 2023 - A WTSO special. I am especially keen on value priced rioja reservas. These under $25 reservas will typically over deliver on quality. This one is excellent.

Color. Dark red with a purple rim.

Nose. Cherry, tea leaves, cocoa, earth. Medium strength in the nose and absolutely no alcohol burn. Very impressive.

Palate. Smooth.... cherries and kirsch and cocoa. Grippy tannins but not over done. Decent acidity too. Just a delicious wine. The finish is less than 20 seconds.
