On the nose it explodes with raspberries and sour cherries, you'd think it's another fruit bomb. In the mouth mushroomy forest floor really comes out with wet rocks and plum flavors. The fruit is distinct but comes well after the earthy goodness. Finishes a bit hot and tannic. I think most new wine drinker will be put off by the finish but everything else about this wine is stellar.

At $50 it's pricey for a PN but really worth the spurge every once in a while. I'd buy more if I can find it in the $30 range.
