90 Points

Sunday, March 1, 2009 - Very rough and tight out of the bottle; let it spend an hour in a decanter before retrying. Much more approachable, and it didn't change much after 2 hours in the decanter. Nose and flavors lacking the typical QC profile. As noted earlier, much more restrained than I've seen from earlier vintages of QC red, plum on the nose, the sligtest fine-grained tanins. More strawberry and raspberry, and no sign of oak or other "rougher" components. Enojyable, but thin and one-dimensional with a brief finish. Went very well with a nice steak dinner.
