Sunday, May 28, 2017 - Not quite a classic Serralunga, more dominated by the warm vintage. Warm tones of dried fruit on the nose, combined with warm earth and some tarry tones. Full bodied, with a clear sense of alcohol in the mouth, dried fruits and dry wood, tar and oil. Massive and dry tannins spoil the aftertaste. Changes completely when drunk with aged french, hard cheeses (tomme, morbier, comte, emmenthal). Still, it has kept its age well, given the starting point.
