100 Points

Thursday, October 8, 2015 - Spur of the moment without properly settling a low shoulder bottle. Still remarkable deep purple color at this age. Limestone, truffle, pepper spice, and traces of cedar and tobacco nose. Fresh, sweet, concentrated, vibrant red currant and black fruit through 25 mins glass time, then layers of mouth-drenching flavors, with such length, I had yet to taste in a Bordeaux. Going strong with the acidity and backbone to live on and on. This bottle was perfect, and an extraordinary experience.
