Friday, September 16, 2022 - Tablas Creek Tasting at Chez Mitchell: -- cork pulled approx. 2 hrs. before initial taste --
-- tasted non-blind over approx. 1 hr. --
NOSE: incredibly "pretty" for a Mourvedre: red licorice and incense, turning to black licorice with extended air exposure; not funky.
BODY: magenta-ruby color of medium depth; medium to medium-full bodied.
TASTE: smooth; hint of back-end funk (not brett); red-fruited; watermelon Jolly Ranger; very light-tasting for Tablas Creek's Mourvedre.
