Saturday, October 29, 2016 - Lovely mature Pauillac and underrated. One of the 1990s that I really like. Decanted and let breathe for an hour. Bricking throughout the wine showcasing its age, lovely nose of cassis, cooked meat, sweet tobacco and extremely old leather. On the palate refined entry wwit mature cassis and black currants, some spice, good backbone, elegance dare I say and balance. Still good acidity to the wine with time in the decanter and a lovely long finish and fully resolved tannins. Excellent. Keeps getting better.
