Friday, March 2, 2012 - Decanted over 3 hours. Brooding nose of wet earth and black fruit, somewhat subdued. Medium to full-bodied, brambly-textured, still very youthful. Dense but not heavy, nice balancing structure. A lot of fruit, notes of coffee, graphite. Much better with the lamb dish which softened the wine. This wine needs another 5 years, but should have an exciting future.
