Saturday, March 2, 2024 - The 2014 iteration of Belle Epoque is a light golden blend of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier. Sporting a brisk tiny bead and creamy, vibrant mousse, it delivers an aromatic array of honeycrisp apples, Anjou pears, white peaches, marzipan, brioche and jasmine. The flavors mirror the nose, packaged in a racy, medium-to-full-bodied frame. Dense in the middle and lengthy on the mineral-laden back end, Perrier-Jouët has knocked it out of the park with this impressive tête de cuvée. Well-cellared bottles should age gracefully. Drink now-2039.
