Friday, April 24, 2015 - Friday Night Tasting in Toronto (VinT's Place): This was initially quite concerning with a quite a lot of dark very ripe fruit and a fair bit of alcohol, however after 2 hours of air it became more complex and rounded out: black olive, blackberry, dried black currants, tar, powdered sugar, pie crust and blueberry pie filling. Still not quite as restrained as the Wind Gap and with a slightly darker profile, but equally interesting and complex in my view. The palate has medium minus tannin and medium acid on the long dark finish. Nice wine. Will hold my next for a while yet.
