Saturday, October 15, 2022 - Pale brick-garnet. Attractive nose of forest floor, ripe raspberry, baking spices and quinine. Medium-bodied, flavours of dried herb, earth, Chinese medicine and leather, a slightly green acidity that just holds back from being too sharp. A wisp of grip.

Main difference noticed between Tyrrell’s and L is the the latter is typically “purer”, while Tyrrell’s has an earthy veil on the palate. The nose on this one is better than the palate. A reasonable effort from what is supposed to be a weaker Hunter vintage. 12.5% ABV. This bottle had questionable provenance - cork with leaks above most of it.
