Sunday, January 28, 2024 - This was excellent and surprisingly ready to go with a decant. On initially opening the wine was very tight and tart, with a nose of soy sauce, mushroom, umami and a palate of sour cherry and leather.

Decanted for 75 minutes and the wine was transformed: Black cherry, raspberry, violet, and Tuscan earth. Full mouthfeel while still erring on the lighter side of Brunello. Some secondary notes of tar, oak. Exceeded expectations.
