  Medium red. Great earthy black cherry and thyme nose. Delicious textured cherry, berry, dried mushroom and currant flavours. The finish is long and balanced with a bit of thyme.
  
  I don’t remember ever having a BdM so good at this age. My experience with young Brunello has never been this much fun.

  Drank next to the 2017 and show more ripeness and polish. Juicy red fruit, milk chocolate, forest floor and mineral. Really good right from the start with or without a decant.

  This was excellent and surprisingly ready to go with a decant. On initially opening the wine was very tight and tart, with a nose of soy sauce, mushroom, umami and a palate of sour cherry and leather.
  
  Decanted for 75 minutes and the wine was transformed: Black cherry, raspberry, violet, and Tuscan earth. Full mouthfeel while still erring on the lighter side of Brunello. Some secondary notes of tar, oak. Exceeded expectations.
