Monday, December 25, 2023 - Very light red color. First nosing after about 30min of air was just classic Brunello! Red fruits, herbs, spice and licorice. The palate tho was mostly tart red fruits with tight chalky tannins. After 3 hours it was smoother with raspberry, thyme, licorice, pepper and a decent finish. At this point is was more of a 91-92 point wine but where this truly shone was on day 2. Flavors were much more rustic with some leather and fresh meat notes. This needs a lot of time before it's ready to drink. A very long decant if opened now or a good 5-10 years of aging for it to be ready to drink in my opinion.
